The Lord’s Taverners NSW wish to express our deepest sympathies to Daphne Benaud and to all the Benaud family at this terribly sad time

On behalf of the thousands of deaf, blind indigenous and intellectually challenged youngsters across Australia we would like to say an enormous ‘thank you Richie’ for your incredible efforts and for your support over many decades

Behind the scenes and away from the cameras Richie did so much to support the Lord’s Taverners and many other organisations. His presence, passion and delight in the game and the nurturing of young talent was outstanding and he will be sorely missed

Roger Ringwood
Chairman - The Lords Taverners NSW

To the public, Richie Benaud excelled at everything he attempted, Australian Cricket Captain, journalist, author, even Chef and, of course, set the benchmark in cricket commentary.  Richie Benaud was a wonderful ambassador for Australia.  He and Daphne brought style and elegance to every event they attended.  Richie and Daphne also excelled as friends, and Richie’s loss will be felt by so many people, especially those who were touched by his kindness and generosity.

To Daphne Benaud and the Benaud family, we extend our deepest sympathy. We send love and all best wishes for continued strength in the time ahead.

Vivian, Beau and Tom Greig.
